The Bank Job

If you like heists, spies, sex, violence, a retro feel, the Royals, London, and not forgetting big money, this movie will fill the bill. Well, today I'm going to review about 'The Bank Job'. Written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, the setting of this movie is actually around 1971. It is based on a true story and revisits the mysterious whos and speculatives hows of a London vault cleanout on Baker Street labeled the walkie-talkie robbery.

Well, everything starts off in the Caribbean where a member of the Royal family or known as the 'Princess' is having a sex relationship with a few black guys and caught in compromising photos. A black militant named Micheal X (Peter de Jersey) uses the photos to avoid trouble with the M15. This is where everything starts, Martine Love (Saffron Burrows), a beautiful young woman who is in a quite sticky problem was sent by the M15 to retrieve the photos back from Micheal X who had deposited it in a safety vault in a bank in London. She went back to her old neighbourhood and manage to meet up with Terry (Jason Statham) who is a father of two daughters and owns a sales garage.

Martine told Terry about a bank that had to shutdown it's safety alarms due to some problems and she had targetted the safety deposit vault which contains millions and jewelleries. She didn't actually tell him the actual plan of getting the photos. Terry who was so extremely excited starts to gather his petty-criminal friends in order to execute the plan. Well, his friends aren't actually trained to be a criminal or should I say a bank-robber, they are more known as a pornstar, a fashion photographer and the watchout doesn't know how to use the walkie-talkie properly. They starts off by taking pictures of the bank and surroundings, look at the plans, and starts to brainstorm on how to break into the vault without the outside world noticing. They had manage to come up with an idea where they had to create an underground tunnel from a neighbouring shop and hit the vault from under.

They started to work digging their way to the vault, working day and night with the help of their watchout who seems to do quite well in his job. While working, a police officer knocked on the door of the shop. Everything during that time seems to be tensing up, one of the robber had manage to meet up with the officer and tried to lie by telling him that the shop had gone under renovation. The officer doesn't seem to believe, but the robber had manage to persuade the officer that the shop is really under renovation and the officer left.

Soon enough, they had manage to create a hole under the supposedly secured safety deposit vault. They didn't work on the safety deposit box straight away, but they rested for a day to get rid of the exhaustion. On the next day, they started to smash open each one of the safety box and retrieve it's precious deposits. During the commencement of the robbery, the local radio station had manage to air the discussion between both the watchout and robber. It seems that someone had manage to pickup their signal and records all of their conversation. The police was all on the move going to every bank within the 10miles radius of the walkie-talkie conversation. The police and bank manager had arrived in front of the bank and the watchout was so astonished that he had dropped his walkie talkie. The bank manager opened the bank door and...

Well I'm sorry for the interruption, please start downloading or go to the nearest in order to know more about this movie. I would rate this movie under PG or 18 since it has some sex scenes, nudity and violence. But overall, I guess this movie meets up to par and quite interesting if you're about to loose your mind from boredom. Whatever it is, just try to enjoy the movie.
Cheers~

The Water Horse

Well, to start things off, I've just recently watched a movie entitled "The Water Horse" and it says, "How do you keep a secret this big?". The thing is, it is really big. Want to know what is big and what's the secret? Keep reading guys.

"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" is a story based on a novel written by Dick King-Smith. It is story about a little boy name Angus MacMorrow(12) who lives with his mother, Anne and elder sister, Kirstie in a small village in Scotland near the Loch Ness. The movie starts off with Angus staring into nothingness by the seaside, imagining himself walks up to the water from the beach and suddenly drowned. He managed to pull himself together though and starts wandering off searching for nice and beautiful sea shells. That's when everything starts to change, he found a mysterious looking egg buried among the rocks and manage to bring it back home where he placed it in his father's shed/garage.

The egg then hatched during night time and Angus had trouble finding the creature or named Crusoe a place to hide from his mother and other people. The next day, Lewis Mobray who is a handiman taken by Angus mother to help them around the house. This adds up another problem to Angus who is trying so hard to avoid Crusoe from being detected by his family, Lewis and the soldiers who came to live at his house during the war. The soldiers had came to protect the Loch Ness from the invasion of the German submarine. Eventually, Crusoe had been discovered by Kirstie and Lewis. Angus had managed to make them to keep a promise by not telling a soul about Crusoe.

Their journey went on, having a Crusoe as big as a house and eventually Lewis and Angus had to move Crusoe to another place where it can't be easily spotted which is in the loch. Angus was of course sad and frustrated because he had to leave his one and only friend in the loch. Soon, he went out to the middle of loch and starts searching for Crusoe. What he hadn't in mind is, Crusoe is not the kind of little animal where you can hug and cuddle like a teddy bear anymore. Crusoe had grown so large that it can carry Angus and take him to a journey to the bottom of the loch.

Soon, the soldiers had made their preparations for the German encounter. They had built a canon for the destruction of the German submarines and a really big net at the entrance of the loch. One fine morning, the general had invited the whole MacMorrow family for a demonstration of the canon that they had built. Of course, Angus who knew that Crusoe was in the lake was very worried. The soldiers then fired the canon and the explosion barely miss Crusoe by inches. Angus ran down to the loch in search of Crusoe with Lewis by his side and found out Crusoe to be very angry. During that time, one of the soldiers had managed to get a glimpse of Crusoe and decided to hunt the creature down.

Well, I can't tell the whole story to you or else it won't be as exciting as watching it. I found this movie to be really interesting with great animations and storylines. I'd give it a thumbs up for those who are well into fiction stories. It's enjoyable to those young ones also, so don't forget to bring your little brothers and sisters or even your children.

Enjoy~
